JOSEPH L. DEGIUSTI, ESQ. - VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL COUNSEL
Joey DeGiusti graduated from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in 2008. He attended the University of Oklahoma for his undergraduate education, where he majored in Sociology and minored in Constitutional Studies. Joey worked as a leasing agent throughout high school and college for Turner Oil & Gas Properties, a brokerage. At Turner, Joey worked for many of the top oil and gas operators in the state of Oklahoma including Continental Resources, Newfield Exploration, and Chesapeake Energy. After graduating in 2012 from the University of Oklahoma, Joey moved to Marietta, Ohio to buy oil and gas leases in the Utica Shale on behalf of Antero Resources. In 2015, Joey went back to the University of Oklahoma to attend law school for a Juris Doctorate. During law school at OU, Joey was named to the Dean's Honor Roll for multiple semesters and started his own mineral acquisition company, Blackfoot Energy. Paying his own way through school Joey often took business calls in between legal classes. From 2017-2019 he grew Blackfoot to become the 3rd largest mineral buyer in Grady County, Oklahoma, and delivered mineral interests to multiple PE groups. Blackfoot developed into a team of six and performed approximately 200 mineral transactions in STACK and SCOOP within those three years. After COVID-19, Joey decided to go back to school again, to earn his real estate license and, shortly thereafter, joined Roaring Fork Capital. Joey is a practicing attorney who resides in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma and is David Muellers son-in-law.
